Accessories must be compatible with the system and fitted in the correct positions. For example, pallet supports should not be treated as a substitute for correctly loading the system, and mesh or other decking should be suitable for the loads and pallet arrangements involved. Safety accessories should not obstruct sprinklers, emergency routes or visibility for operators.
All load notices and other required signs should be fixed where they can be seen clearly by warehouse staff and vehicle operators. Load notices should reflect the installed configuration, including the relevant beam levels and safe working loads.
Inspection before handover
After assembly, the completed installation should be checked against the approved drawings and manufacturer’s instructions. This inspection should confirm that:

- Frames, beams and bracing are complete and correctly connected
- Anchors, baseplates and locking devices are properly installed

Any impact damage, bent components, missing locking devices, displaced beams or unauthorised alterations should be taken seriously.
