Overview

The Able online eLearning Rack Safety Awareness course is unique, as there are no other Rack Safety Awareness Training products available 24/7 offering complete flexibility to organisations and their users.

The course has been designed based on our tried and tested on site course. The platform uses industry inspection methodology and is designed to train internal workers to understand matters such as legislation, safe working load notices, loading clearances, damage levels – measuring damage, how to record it + so much more.

This course is not a replacement for the accredited racking inspection, which you should have (as a minimum) annually. These inspections should always be carried out by an industry competent and experienced person. Many companies with large scale warehouses (based on risk assessment) will have more regular accredited inspections.

Features & Benefits

No need to send external trainers to site – Sustainability & Environmental benefits, most Warehouse/Logistics companies are 24/7 or have employees working different shift patterns, therefore is very difficult to arrange training during a 9 — 5 working day, the eLearning provides flexibility to Log in/out at any time, hence being able to prioritise work tasks.

Not having to bring employees to one location for training saves time and money, we recently worked with a company who have 75x depots and each manager within the branch took the course online rather than bringing them to head office saving time away from their own daily work tasks and travel costs.

The course gives you the ability to immediately train new starters (potentially Agency employees may have no previous racking experience) to gain a basic knowledge of systems used to help them identify their new working environment.

Monitor operatives use/results on completion and provide data to support where further training is required.

There is a Management Dashboard available which supply’s companies with additional information on courses completed, time results etc:- this is available with any orders of 11+ courses.

You can Identify & report damage early using the methodology provided in the training, this will eliminate minor damage becoming major damage, thus assist the operation being proactive, saving time & resource replacing damage early rather than “offloading” sections of the warehouse which will minimise the working capacity of the areas involved.

The eLearning course is designed to make your workers PRRS’s (Persons responsible for Rack Safety) based in the warehouse, able to recognize dangers and/or when to offload and isolate an area should an incident occur.

The course offers an understanding of the effects of making changes to the storage structure and what each component does and what damage limits are related to each component / area.

WHO AND WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THE ELEARNING COURSE?

HR Departments

HR Department’s will use the eLearning course. Sometimes new employees or agency staff in warehouses may have never even seen a pallet racking system before, so the course is an excellent part of company induction for new starters beginning their journey, also being eLearning it is available immediately rather than waiting to book new employees into a class room training session or Live Training Session which would may not be available immediately and possibly not to suit.

Finance Departments

Finance Department’s will find great benefits from investing in this course.

The fact that racking damage could be spotted early and repaired/replaced at the earliest, could be the difference between one component in the structure needing to be replaced rather than a whole bay being out of service, which will save a lot of money and could help to provide budgets for repairs assisting when looking at the capex required for holistic warehouse remedials.

Warehouse /Facilities Managers

Warehouse /Facilities Manager’s will find this course a great benefit, as damage identified early and issues eradicated, results in potential damage not becoming so “unsafe to use” or “red risk” that a particular area of the racking cannot continue to be used and having to be off loaded completely.

Should areas require offload completely, there could in instances of lead times for components up to 10/12 weeks depending on the manufacturer, therefore time and cost savings if damage is identified earlier.

Also, should changes have been made internally to the racking system, they can be checked to ensure that they have been made safely to continue to use the area.
